Little Samson came out in 1992 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Takeru and published by Taito. You control Samson, a boy with a magical electric attack, and can switch to three other characters: Kikira the dragon, who flies and breathes fire; Gamm the golem, who is slow but can smash through certain walls; and K.O. the mouse, who climbs on ceilings and throws bombs. The main goal is to traverse levels screen by screen, fighting monsters and navigating platforming challenges to reach the final boss. A signature mechanic is swapping characters on the fly to use their specific abilities to overcome obstacles, like using Gamm to break barriers or Kikira to fly over gaps. Another key feature is collecting power up items that enhance your attacks and health. The game is known for its brisk pacing and considerable difficulty, demanding quick reflexes and smart character selection.
