I remember playing The Little Mermaid on my Game Boy back in 1991. It was developed by Sculptured Software and published by Capcom, one of the many Disney licensed games that were common on the system. It fit right in with the platform's library of simple, colorful action games you could take anywhere.

You control Ariel, swimming through side scrolling underwater levels. Your main goal is to defeat Ursula and restore peace to the ocean. The primary mechanic involves using bubbles to trap enemies; you can then throw these trapped enemies at other foes or at obstacles to break them. You also search for hidden treasures, like King Triton's crown, which are often tucked away in nooks or revealed by clearing a screen of enemies. The game moves at a brisk pace and isn't particularly difficult, making it a good fit for quick play sessions. It feels light and breezy, like a quick dip in a calm sea.
