Little Master - Raikuban no Densetsu is one of those weird, charming Game Boy RPGs that never made it outside Japan. You start off picking a monster—there’s a dragon, a phoenix, some kind of wolf thing—and then you just... wander around fighting other monsters in turn-based battles. The sprites are tiny but weirdly expressive, and the music’s got that classic Game Boy chiptune vibe.

It’s not super deep, but there’s something oddly satisfying about leveling up your creature and watching it evolve. The menus are all in Japanese, though, so unless you’re fluent or really patient, you’ll be guessing at a lot of the moves. Still, if you’re into obscure retro RPGs, it’s a neat little time capsule.
