About Lemmings
Lemmings on the NES came out in 1991, published by Sunsoft. It was a direct translation of the computer puzzle game to the console, fitting right in with the platform's library of methodical, thinking-person's games.
You don't control the lemmings directly; instead, you assign jobs to them as they march mindlessly forward. The goal is to guide a certain percentage of the crowd from the entrance to the exit of each level. Key mechanics include making a lemming a blocker to stop the parade, a builder to create staircases across gaps, or a digger to tunnel through the earth. The game demands careful planning and quick cursor work, as a single mistake can doom your entire group. It feels like managing a chaotic, tiny parade where you are the only one who knows the route.
