About Legend (japan)
Legend, released for the Game Boy in 1990 by developer Scanmaster, was one of many action-adventure titles that appeared on the handheld in its early years. It arrived when portable gaming was still defining itself, offering a substantial quest on a small screen.
You control a hero exploring a large overworld and a series of dungeons, screen by screen. Your main goal is to collect eight special instruments to complete your journey. You use a sword for close combat and a bow for attacking enemies from a distance, while solving environmental puzzles to progress. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and its dungeons can be challenging to navigate. It feels like a methodical, self-contained adventure built for on-the-go play.
