Lamborghini American Challenge came out for the Game Boy in 1993, published by Titus Interactive. It was part of that wave of early 90s portable games where developers tried to fit console style racing onto the small screen. You got a lot of these car licensed titles back then, and this one promised a cross country trip in a supercar.

You control a Lamborghini Diablo, racing from checkpoint to checkpoint across a map of the United States. The main goal is to simply finish each stage before time runs out. The game uses an overhead view, and you navigate tight, winding roads while managing your fuel supply. You can pick up fuel cans on the track, and you also have a turbo boost for short bursts of speed. The pacing is relentless; the timer is strict and the handling is slippery, making even simple corners a challenge. It feels like a constant fight against the clock and the car's own momentum.
