About Labyrinth
Labyrinth came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, developed by Lucasfilm Games. It was part of that wave of early NES titles that tried to translate complex computer adventure games onto a console, a time when you never quite knew what you were getting when you popped in a new cartridge.
You control a young boy named Chris, navigating a vast underground maze one screen at a time. Your main goal is to find the thirteen scattered pieces of a magical key to escape. You explore interconnected rooms, fighting off creatures with a sword you find early on and solving simple puzzles by pushing blocks or finding hidden passages. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the mazes can be confusing, making it quite challenging. It feels like a slow, thoughtful crawl through a dangerous place where every new screen could hide a monster or a dead end.
