About Kung Fu (europe)
Kung Fu for the NES came out in 1985, developed by Irem. It was one of those early side-scrolling action games that felt straightforward and direct, a common type of experience on the system at the time.
You control a martial artist named Thomas, fighting through a multi-story pagoda to rescue Sylvia. The game progresses screen by screen; you move forward and enemies pour in from both sides. Your main actions are punching and kicking, and you can also jump to avoid attacks or projectiles. The objective is to climb to the top, floor by floor, facing a unique boss on each level. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is sharp, demanding quick reflexes to handle the constant enemy waves. It feels like a tense, non-stop brawl from start to finish.
