Kumano Putaru Game

Kumano Putaru is one of those weird little Game Boy games that somehow sticks with you. At first glance, it’s just another pixelated adventure—until you realize how much personality they crammed into those tiny sprites. You’ll be pushing blocks, dodging traps, and fighting off enemies that look like they escaped from an old Japanese folktale.
The puzzles start simple but get surprisingly clever, especially when the game starts mixing in combat. I remember getting stuck on this one room where you have to lure an enemy onto a switch—took me way too long to figure it out. And the music? That classic Game Boy chiptune sound, but with these oddly catchy melodies that’ll get stuck in your head.
It’s not perfect—some of the jumps feel a little stiff, and the translation’s a bit rough in spots—but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for obscure retro games, this one’s worth digging up.
