About Krusty's Fun House
Krusty's Fun House came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of many licensed games from that era, based on The Simpsons, and it stood out for being a puzzle game instead of a straightforward action platformer.
You control Krusty the Clown, moving screen by screen through his fun house. The main goal is to clear each room of purple rats by herding them into traps. You do this by pushing blocks, flipping switches, and manipulating the environment to guide the rats along a safe path. The challenge comes from enemies like snakes and flying pigs that try to stop you, and you can defend yourself by throwing custard pies. The pacing is methodical, requiring you to think a few steps ahead, and the difficulty increases as the layouts become more complex. It feels satisfying to finally get all the rats moving in the right direction after a few failed attempts.
