Konami Golf on the Game Boy is one of those early portable golf games that somehow nails the simplicity of the sport without overcomplicating things. You get a basic top-down view, a straightforward swing meter, and just enough courses to keep it interesting. The physics are a little janky—sometimes your ball rolls in ways that make no sense—but that weirdly adds to the charm.
First few holes feel easy, but then the wind kicks in, and suddenly you're second-guessing every shot. The pixelated greens are tiny, so even a slight misjudgment means hunting for your ball in the rough. It's not the prettiest golf sim out there, but if you're into retro sports games, this one's a solid time-waster.
Also, the music is weirdly catchy for a Game Boy golf game. You'll be humming it after a few rounds.
