King Neptunes Adventure Game

King Neptune’s Adventure is one of those NES deep cuts that feels like a weird mix of platforming and underwater chaos. You’re basically this pissed-off sea god trying to reclaim his stolen magic orb and eight other artifacts from some tentacle monster that wrecked his kingdom. The controls take a second to get used to—Neptune moves kinda floaty, but once you figure out how to bounce your shots off walls and time your limited bubble bombs, it clicks.
Each level’s got its own gimmick—some doors need keys, others hide items behind little puzzles, and royal dolphins pop up now and then to help (or just confuse you). The bosses are the real highlight, though. That last fight in Atlantis? Absolute nightmare fuel for 8-bit. Just don’t expect to breeze through—this one’s got that classic NES "die a lot until you memorize everything" energy.
