Kid Niki Game

Kid Niki on Game Boy is one of those weird, janky platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this little ninja dude with a sword that swings in a full circle—which sounds cool until you realize how awkward it is to time your attacks. The first level throws you right into it: jumping over pits, dodging shurikens, and slicing up enemies that pop out of nowhere.
It’s got that classic "Nintendo hard" vibe where everything feels just slightly unfair, but in a way that makes you want to try again. The music’s catchy in that tinny Game Boy way, and the bosses are these big, screen-filling weirdos that take way too many hits to kill. Not gonna lie, I got stuck on the second level for ages because some jumps are just mean.
If you’re into retro games that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a trip—just don’t expect it to play fair.
