KeroKero Keroppis Great Big Adventure 2 is one of those weirdly charming NES platformers that feels like it was made by someone who had too much coffee and a love for frogs. You play as this little frog dude hopping through bright, bouncy levels filled with oversized mushrooms, floating platforms, and enemies that look like they escaped from a Saturday morning cartoon.

The controls take a second to get used to—your jumps have this floaty, almost slippery feel to them, but once it clicks, you’ll be ricocheting off walls and lily pads like a pro. There’s something oddly satisfying about the way Keroppis’ tongue snaps out to grab collectibles mid-air. Just watch out for the piranha plants—they’re way faster than they look.

It’s not the deepest game, but the sheer energy of it makes it hard to put down. The music’s got that classic NES chirpiness, too. If you’re into retro platformers with personality, this one’s a solid time.
