Karaoke Studio (japan) Game

Karaoke Studio is basically the granddaddy of all singing games—way before Rock Band or those fancy arcade machines. It came out on the Famicom (Japan’s NES) back when most of us were still figuring out how to hold a mic without looking awkward.
You pick from a handful of Japanese pop songs, and the game plays the instrumental track while scrolling lyrics at the bottom. No pitch detection or scoring—just you, a TV, and probably some very confused family members wondering why you’re belting out tunes in broken Japanese. The song list isn’t huge, but hey, it’s from 1985. What did you expect?
It’s more of a novelty now, but there’s something charming about how simple it is. If you’ve ever wanted to see where karaoke games started, this is it.
