Kamen No Ninja - Akakage:yo! Noid Game

Yo! Noid is one of those weird NES games with an even weirder backstory—it was originally a ninja platformer in Japan before getting reskinned as a Domino's Pizza ad for the US release. You play as the Noid (or Akakage, if you're playing the Japanese version), jumping between rooftops, tossing shurikens, and dodging enemies that range from pizza-throwing chefs to... skateboarding punks?
The controls are tight, but some of the platforming can be brutal—expect a few cheap deaths from off-screen enemies. The pizza-themed levels are goofy, but the boss fights actually get pretty creative. Also, between stages, you play this weird mini-game where you pick the right pizza toppings. Mess it up, and you lose a life. No pressure.
It’s definitely a product of its time, but there’s a weird charm to it if you can push past the jank. The soundtrack slaps, too.
