Okay, so Kakutou Denshou - F-Cup Maniax is one of those weird, hyper-niche N64 fighters that never left Japan—and honestly, it’s kind of a trip. You’ve got this roster of, uh, very top-heavy female fighters (hence the title), each with their own ridiculous special moves. One girl whips out a giant lollipop to smack people with, another fights in roller skates—it’s absurd, but weirdly fun once you get past the gimmick.
The controls are janky in that classic N64 fighting game way (good luck pulling off combos consistently), but the animations are surprisingly smooth for the era. It’s not exactly Tekken, but there’s a dumb charm to watching these over-the-top attacks play out. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this is more of a "laugh with friends while someone accidentally backflips into a KO" kind of game.
If you’re into obscure fighting games or just want to see how bizarre the N64 library got in Japan, it’s worth a few rounds. Just maybe not in public.
