About Jungle Book, The (europe)
I remember playing The Jungle Book on the NES back in 1994. It was developed by Eurocom and published by Virgin Interactive. For a late NES title, it felt like a solid effort, arriving when many players were already moving to the 16-bit consoles.
You control Mowgli through a series of side-scrolling levels. Your goal is to navigate the jungle and defeat enemies to reach the end of each stage. You have a few key moves: you can throw fruit as your main attack, and you can also bounce on enemies or use a special bear slam move when you collect a power-up from Baloo. The game is known for its challenging platforming, with precise jumps required over bottomless pits and through dense vines. It feels like a brisk, sometimes punishing, trek through a familiar world.
