Joe & Mac is one of those NES games that just oozes charm—you play as a pair of cavemen who somehow picked up ninja skills (don't ask how) and go on a wild prehistoric rampage. The levels are bright, chaotic, and full of dinosaurs to bonk with your club or boomerang. And yeah, there are cave babes to rescue, because of course there are.

What I love is how goofy it feels—you’ll chuck bones at enemies, ride on the backs of pterodactyls, and occasionally stumble into a secret warp zone hidden behind a waterfall. The controls are simple but tight, though some of those jumps over lava pits still make me sweat. It’s not the deepest platformer, but it’s got personality for days. Just don’t expect the plot to make any sense.
