About Jim Conner's Pro Tennis Tour
Jim Conner's Pro Tennis Tour came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, published by Ubisoft. It was part of that wave of early 90s sports games trying to bring a realistic simulation to the console, standing alongside other tennis titles of the era.
You control a tennis player from an overhead perspective, moving your character around the court to hit the ball. The main objective is to win tournaments by outscoring your opponents in sets. Signature mechanics include a power meter for your shots, which you charge up for stronger returns, and the ability to apply different types of spin to the ball. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the computer opponents can be quite difficult, demanding precise positioning. It feels like a thoughtful test of your timing and court management.
