Jikuu Senshi Turok on the N64 is one of those games that throws you straight into the chaos—you start off with a bow, some weird sci-fi weapons, and a jungle full of dinosaurs that absolutely do not want you there. The controls take a second to get used to (N64 shooters always did), but once you’re past that, it’s pure adrenaline. Jumping between time periods keeps things unpredictable—one minute you’re dodging raptors, the next you’re blasting laser-toting soldiers.
It’s janky in that late-’90s way, but the sheer variety of enemies and weapons makes up for it. Just don’t expect the graphics to hold up—this is peak foggy N64 territory. Still, if you miss when shooters were more about wild ideas than polish, this one’s a blast.
