Jeopardy 25th Anniversary on NES is exactly what you'd expect—classic quiz show action with all the quirks of an old-school port. You’re typing in responses to those iconic "answers" (you know, like "This president chopped down a cherry tree"), but be warned: the game’s picky about spelling. Miss a single letter or tense? Wrong. No partial credit here.
It’s fun with friends, but playing solo means facing off against the computer, which is either hilariously bad or weirdly sharp depending on the difficulty. The timer’s brutal on higher settings—good luck typing "Who is Archimedes?" in 40 seconds with that clunky grid keyboard. Half my losses were from fat-fingering the wrong letter.
Still, there’s something charming about yelling at the screen when it rejects "What is a kangaroo?" because you forgot the question mark. If you’ve got nostalgia for the show or just love punishingly precise trivia, it’s a solid time capsule.
