Jantaku Boy (japan) Game

Jantaku Boy is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it’s a bizarrely addictive mix of board game and RPG. You roll dice, move around a grid, and either fight monsters or trigger random events that can help or totally screw you over. The pixel art’s got that classic early ‘90s charm, and the battles are simple but satisfying.
At first, I thought it was just a glorified digital board game, but then I got sucked into upgrading my character and hunting for hidden items. The music’s also weirdly catchy in that tinny Game Boy way. If you’re into obscure retro stuff with a bit of strategy, this one’s worth a few rounds.
