Iron Tank on NES is one of those classic top-down war games where you're basically a one-man army in a beefed-up tank. You play as Paul, some elite soldier codenamed "Iron Snake," which sounds way cooler than it has any right to. The whole thing feels like a mix of Commando and a tank sim—you roll through Normandy blasting everything from enemy jeeps to bunkers while dodging way too many bullets.

At first, it seems straightforward—just shoot stuff and don’t die—but then you realize your tank can actually level up if you grab the right power-ups. Machine guns, spread shots, even temporary invincibility (which you’ll desperately need). The controls are a little stiff by today’s standards, but once you get used to it, weaving through enemy fire while lining up shots becomes weirdly satisfying. Just don’t expect to beat it in one sitting—this game doesn’t mess around with difficulty.

Oh, and the music? Absolute banger. That chiptune military march still gets stuck in my head.
