Infogenius Systems : Frommer Game

Okay, so "InfoGenius Systems: Frommer" is one of those weird Game Boy titles that’s not really a game—more like a digital travel guide crammed into a cartridge. You boot it up and suddenly you’ve got this clunky but kinda charming menu full of city maps, restaurant recommendations, and random trivia about places you’ll probably never visit. It’s like someone took a 90s Lonely Planet guide and made it pixelated.
The interface takes some getting used to—lots of scrolling through text blocks with that classic Game Boy beep every time you select something. But there’s something oddly satisfying about planning a fake trip to Paris or Tokyo while waiting for the school bus. The "hidden gems" they hype up? Mostly just blurry JPEG-tier landmarks with two-line descriptions. Still, if you’ve ever wanted to roleplay as a tourist without leaving your couch, this is… an option.
Honestly, it’s more of a novelty than anything, but it’s got this weird retro charm if you’re into obscure Game Boy oddities.
