Ever played that weird little Game Boy game where you control a guy in a loincloth running around a city? Indien dans la Ville is one of those early platformers that feels janky by today’s standards, but there’s something oddly charming about it. You jump over cars, climb buildings, and dodge random hazards—like, why is there a guy with a briefcase just standing there? No idea, but you’ll die if you touch him.

The controls take some getting used to (expect a few cheap deaths at first), but once you get the rhythm, it’s weirdly satisfying. The music’s got that classic Game Boy bleep-bloop energy, and the pixel art is simple but full of personality. Not gonna lie, it’s not the deepest game out there, but if you’re into retro oddities, this one’s a fun little time capsule.

You can play it on emulators now, which is nice because tracking down the original cart would probably cost more than it’s worth.
