Okay, so this is the NES version of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade—not the point-and-click adventure from LucasArts, but the side-scrolling action one by UBI Soft. It’s… rough around the edges, honestly. You start off punching Nazis in a castle (classic Indy), but the controls feel a little stiff, and the hit detection is wonky. Still, there’s something charming about it—like the way Indy’s whip actually works as a grappling hook in some spots, or how you have to solve those weird tile puzzles to progress.
It’s definitely one of those games where you’ll die a lot at first until you figure out the quirks. The platforming can be brutal, and some enemies just soak up hits for no reason. But if you grew up with NES games, you know that’s part of the deal. The grail temple section at the end is actually pretty cool, even if getting there feels like a trial by fire.
Not the best Indy game out there, but if you’re nostalgic for late-80s licensed games, it’s worth a look—just maybe with save states handy.
