I Love Softball (japan) Game

I Love Softball is one of those weird, charming NES sports games that feels like it was made for people who've never actually played softball. You pick a team (all Japanese, obviously—it's the Famicom version), and suddenly you're smacking home runs with these tiny, stiff little players who run like they're stuck in molasses.
The fielding is chaotic—your outfielders sometimes just stand there staring at the ball while it rolls past them. And the pitching? Good luck figuring out the timing. But there's something oddly satisfying about it, especially when you finally connect with a pitch and send it flying into the pixelated stands.
It's not deep, but if you're into retro jank or just want to see what 80s Japan thought softball looked like, it's a fun little time capsule.
