Hyper Dunk on the Game Boy is one of those old-school arcade-style basketball games that somehow makes pixelated hoops weirdly addictive. You pick from a handful of international teams (I always went with the U.S., obviously) and then it's just straight-up 2-on-2 action—no complicated rules, just fast breaks and awkwardly satisfying dunk animations.

The controls take a second to get used to—holding B to charge your shot feels a little stiff at first, but once you nail the timing, swishing a three-pointer with those crunchy Game Boy sound effects is oddly satisfying. And yeah, the AI cheats sometimes, especially on higher difficulties, but that just makes beating them more fun.

It's not deep, but for a quick handheld basketball fix, it holds up better than you'd expect. Just don't go in expecting NBA Jam.
