Hybrid Heaven on the N64 is this weird, cool mix of fighting game and RPG that somehow works. You’re sneaking around a secret underground facility, punching mutants in real-time, but then combat suddenly shifts to this turn-based system where you pick moves like grapples or counters. It sounds messy, but it’s weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it.
The story’s full of alien conspiracies and body horror—kinda like a B-movie, but in a good way. Your character evolves based on how you fight, so if you keep kicking, your legs get stronger. I spent way too long grinding just to see how ridiculous my stats could get.
It’s janky in that classic N64 way, but if you’re into experimental games with a cult vibe, this one’s worth digging up.
