Humans came out for the Game Boy in 1992, developed by Imagitec Design. It was part of that wave of games trying to bring complex PC-style strategy to the handheld, a time when you saw a lot of ambitious ports and original ideas squeezed onto the small screen. You control a tribe of primitive humans, guiding them through side-view levels screen by screen. Your main goal is to lead your people from a starting point to an exit, which often involves solving environmental puzzles. You can pick up and use different tools, like clubs for defending against creatures or torches for lighting dark caves. A key mechanic is teaching your humans new skills, such as climbing or building, by having them find and use specific items. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and the challenge comes from managing your entire group's safety and abilities at once. It feels like a careful, thoughtful puzzle where every move matters.
