Hugo on the Game Boy is one of those sequels that kinda does its own thing—don't expect the same puzzle-platforming as the first game. It's more of an action-adventure vibe where you're guiding Hugo through caves, dodging bats, and grabbing treasure. The controls take a second to get used to, but once you figure out the jumps, it's oddly satisfying to bounce around those tight tunnels.
Weirdly enough, it feels like a mix between a platformer and an arcade game, with some levels throwing random hazards at you out of nowhere. Not gonna lie, the difficulty spikes can be brutal, but if you grew up with Game Boy games, that's kinda the charm. Definitely a niche pick, but there's something about its janky energy that sticks with you.
