Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing on N64 is basically what happens when you take those little toy cars from your childhood and crank the speed up to 11. You’ve got all the classic Hot Wheels designs—some unlockable ones too—but they actually handle like proper racers, not just plastic toys. The tracks are ridiculous in the best way, with loops, jumps, and shortcuts that’d make a real engineer faint.
First race in, you’ll probably wipe out on a corkscrew turn because, yeah, physics takes a backseat to fun here. But once you get the hang of boosting off ramps and skidding around corners, it’s pure arcade chaos. The AI isn’t brutal, but good luck not restarting a race just to nail that perfect mid-air barrel roll. It’s the kind of game where you tell yourself “one more race” at 2 AM.
If you miss the days when racing games were more about wild tracks than realistic tire physics, this one’s a nostalgia trip with nitro attached.
