Hoshi wo Miru Hito is one of those weird, brutally tough NES RPGs that never made it outside Japan—probably for good reason. It's got this cool sci-fi vibe with spaceships and aliens, but man, the balance is all over the place. One minute you're cruising, the next you're getting wrecked by random encounters that feel like they weren't playtested.
I gave it a shot because the pixel art has this charming, clunky '80s anime look, but the translation patches floating around don't make the confusing mechanics any easier. If you're into obscure, janky retro RPGs for the novelty, sure, but don't expect a hidden gem. It's more like a relic that makes you appreciate how far game design has come.
