Hoshi no Kirby 64 is one of those N64 gems that just oozes charm. You’re still playing as the pink puffball, but this time he’s got a neat twist—combining copy abilities to make wild new powers. Like, mix fire and cutter and suddenly you’re slinging flaming boomerangs. The levels are bright, bouncy, and packed with little secrets, and the music’s got that classic Kirby cheeriness.
It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but that’s kind of the point. You’re here to mess around with powers, float through candy-colored worlds, and maybe kick Whispy Woods’ butt again. The two-player minigames are a nice bonus if you’ve got a friend around. Definitely one of the cozier N64 picks if you just want to unwind with something cheerful.
