Hoshi No Kirby 2 is one of those Game Boy classics that just feels good to play. You start off floating around as Kirby—y’know, the little pink guy who sucks up enemies and steals their powers—and right away, the game throws these weirdly charming levels at you. One minute you’re turning into a rock to crush stuff, the next you’re a spark-shooting electric ball. The powers are ridiculous in the best way.
It’s not just about platforming, though. Some levels have these little puzzles where you gotta figure out which ability works best—like using the ice power to freeze water and make platforms. And the music? Super catchy in that old-school Game Boy way. If you’ve ever played a Kirby game before, this one’s got that same cozy, slightly chaotic energy. If you haven’t, it’s a great place to start.
Also, the UFO power is stupidly fun. Just saying.
