Hokuto No Ken : Fist Game

Hokuto No Ken: Fist is one of those Game Boy gems that feels like it punches way above its weight. You start off as Kenshiro, wandering a wrecked world where every fight is brutal—your fists crack bones, and enemies explode in the most ridiculous, over-the-top ways. The first few battles feel stiff at first, but once you get the timing down for those signature Hokuto Shinken moves, it clicks.
It’s not just button-mashing, though. Some fights force you to think, especially when you’re surrounded or up against bosses who actually dodge. The sprites are tiny, but they somehow capture that manga intensity—especially when you land a finishing blow and the screen flashes. If you’re into the series, the little story beats and familiar faces will hit just right. If not, it’s still a weirdly satisfying brawler with a mean streak.
Just don’t expect it to go easy on you. This game loves to throw cheap shots.
