About Hit The Ice - Vhl The Video Hockey League (proto)
Hit The Ice: VHL The Video Hockey League was a prototype NES game that never saw a full commercial release. It was developed by Williams Electronics, a company better known for their arcade hits. On a system with several sports titles, this one aimed to bring a particular brand of arcade hockey to the home console.
You control a team of hockey players in five-on-five matches, with the main objective being to outscore your opponent. The game's signature mechanics include a slapshot power meter you must time correctly and the ability to body check opponents to steal the puck.
