Hiryu no Ken II: Dragon no Tsubasa is one of those old-school NES beat-'em-ups that feels like a lost arcade cabinet. You pick between two martial artists—one’s a brawler, the other’s quicker but weaker—and just start punching your way through waves of thugs. The controls are simple, but the enemies gang up on you fast, so you’ve gotta time those jump kicks right.
It’s got that classic Culture Brain feel—bright colors, chunky sprites, and a weirdly catchy soundtrack. The second stage boss is this huge sumo guy who just won’t stay down unless you hit him like five times in a row. Frustrating? Yeah, but in that way where you keep mashing continue anyway. Definitely a niche pick if you’re into retro brawlers.
