Highway Star (japan) Game

Highway Star (or Rad Racer if you're outside Japan) is one of those NES racers that feels way ahead of its time. The second you start, you're thrown into this weirdly smooth pseudo-3D road with buildings and palm trees whipping past—kinda impressive for 1987. The handling's slippery in that old-school way where you're constantly nudging the D-pad to avoid crashing into traffic.
Eight tracks take you from neon cities to desert highways, and the music's this cheesy synth soundtrack that somehow makes driving at 150mph feel even more intense. It's not exactly Gran Turismo, but for an early NES racer? Way more fun than it has any right to be.
