Hector 87 (japan) Game

Hector 87 is one of those weird, obscure NES games that never made it outside Japan—which honestly makes it way more interesting. It's a side-scrolling action game where you play as this little dude Hector (who looks like a tiny knight, I think?) jumping around and slashing enemies with a sword. The controls are a bit stiff, but once you get used to it, there's something oddly satisfying about the way enemies explode into little pixel chunks.
First few minutes in, you're just figuring out the timing—some jumps feel way too floaty, and the hit detection can be janky. But then you start unlocking these weird power-ups, like a boomerang sword (yes, really) and suddenly it clicks. The music’s got that classic NES chiptune energy, too—simple but catchy.
Definitely not a polished masterpiece, but if you're into retro oddities, it's got charm. Just don’t expect a smooth ride.
