About Gun-dec
Gun-Dec came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, developed by Natsume. It was part of that late NES era where developers were still finding new ideas for the hardware. You control a soldier navigating a series of hostile, maze-like military bases.
Your goal is to destroy the enemy's central computer core on each stage. You move screen by screen, clearing enemies with your standard gun before advancing. A key mechanic is collecting power-up chips from defeated foes; these let you temporarily swap your gun for more powerful weapons like a three-way shot or a flamethrower. The levels are compact but filled with respawning enemies, which keeps the pressure high. It feels like a tense, methodical sweep through a heavily guarded facility.
