Gremlins 2 on NES is one of those weird, kinda janky movie tie-ins from the '90s—but in a fun way. You play as Gizmo, hopping around a chaotic office building full of gremlins, tossing little paperclip projectiles at them. The controls are a bit stiff, and some of the jumps feel unfair, but the sprite work actually holds up pretty well for an NES game.
It’s got that classic "licensed game" energy—random power-ups, weird enemy designs, and levels that sort of loosely follow the movie’s plot. The music’s surprisingly catchy, too. Not gonna lie, it’s frustrating at times, but there’s something charming about how messy it is. If you’re into retro games with personality (and a bit of clunk), this one’s a weird little time capsule.
