Great Greed EasyType is one of those weird little Game Boy RPGs that somehow sticks with you. Right off the bat, you're thrown into this goofy world where the dialogue is full of puns and the enemies include things like sentient mushrooms with bad attitudes. The combat’s simple but satisfying—none of that grinding for hours just to survive the next area.
What I love is how it doesn’t take itself seriously. One minute you’re talking to a king who’s obsessed with food, the next you’re fighting a giant radish. The EasyType tweaks make it way less punishing than some old-school RPGs, so you can actually enjoy the humor without getting stuck on some brutal boss fight. And yeah, the pixel art’s charming in that chunky Game Boy way—lots of personality in those tiny sprites.
If you’re into retro RPGs with a sense of humor, this one’s a hidden gem. Just don’t expect epic fantasy—it’s more like someone’s silly D&D campaign turned into a game.
