Grand Prix Game

Grand Prix on Game Boy is one of those old-school racers that somehow makes tiny pixel cars feel fast. You pick from a handful of tracks—some tight and twisty, others wide open—and then it’s just you, the road, and a bunch of AI drivers who love to nudge you into the grass. The controls are simple (just accelerate, brake, and steer), but nailing the turns without skidding takes practice.
What I love is how the game tricks your brain into feeling speed even on that little green screen. The way the scenery blurs past when you hit top speed? Pure 90s magic. And if you crash, your car does this little flip animation that never gets old. It’s not the deepest racer, but for quick bursts of nostalgia, it’s hard to beat. Just don’t expect to win your first race—those later tracks get brutal.
