Goonies Ii, The - Fratelli Saigo No Chousen (japan) Game
📅 1987 ✍️ Konami

So Goonies II on NES is this weird mix of side-scrolling action and first-person dungeon crawling—kinda janky, but in a charming way. You play as Mikey, running around whipping enemies (yep, like a budget Indiana Jones) while trying to rescue the Goonies and this mermaid named Annie from the Fratellis. The first-person bits are clunky as hell—you’re just poking around rooms with a cursor—but stumbling into hidden passages or accidentally finding keys feels oddly satisfying. Also, the music slaps harder than it has any right to. Just don’t expect it to hold your hand.
It’s one of those games where you’ll either love the weirdness or rage-quit after getting lost for the tenth time.
