Golf on NES is exactly what it sounds like—a simple, no-frills golf game from 1985 where Mario (looking weirdly chubby in his blue and white outfit) takes to the greens. You pick between single-player stroke play or two-player modes, then get dropped onto the first hole of an 18-hole course.
It’s not exactly forgiving—no auto-club selection here, so if you don’t know your woods from your irons, you’re gonna have a rough time. The physics are basic, but there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a long putt or watching your ball hook way off into the trees. It’s definitely more fun with a friend, though the AI isn’t terrible if you’re flying solo.
Just don’t expect PGA Tour realism—this is pure old-school arcade golf with a Mario cameo.
