God Medicine - Hukkoku Ban (japan) Game

God Medicine - Hukkoku Ban is one of those weird little Game Boy gems that slipped under the radar. It's a Japan-only release, so unless you're fluent in kanji, you'll be fumbling through menus at first—but there's something oddly charming about that. You play as a doctor running a clinic, diagnosing patients with bizarre ailments (some of which are... let's just say creative).
The pixel art has that classic early '90s vibe, and the gameplay mixes puzzle-solving with a dash of time management. You'll scribble prescriptions, shuffle between patients, and occasionally panic when someone shows up with a condition you've never seen before. It's janky in places, but that almost adds to the appeal—like digging up an obscure board game at a thrift store and figuring it out as you go.
Definitely not for everyone, but if you're into offbeat retro sims, this one's worth a curious glance.
