Glover 2 was a planned sequel for the Nintendo 64 that never saw a full release; the prototype we have comes from developer Interactive Studios. It exists as a curious artifact from a time when 3D platformers were experimenting with new mechanics, a follow-up to a game that already had a distinct identity on the console.

You control Glover, the magical glove, navigating through themed worlds with the goal of restoring the Crystal Kingdom. The core gameplay revolves around picking up, throwing, and bouncing different types of balls, each with unique properties that affect your movement and how you solve environmental puzzles. You explore levels screen by screen, using these balls to attack enemies, trigger switches, and traverse hazards like gaps and water. The pacing can be deliberate as you figure out which ball to use and where to place it, and the challenge comes from precise platforming and puzzle-solving. Playing it feels like a test of your patience and your ability to think with your hands.
