About Glory Of Heracles 2
Glory of Heracles 2 came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989, developed by Data East. It was part of that wave of late 80s Japanese RPGs that explored mythology, a time when the NES library was expanding beyond its early hits. This one followed the first game, continuing its take on Greek legends.
You control a party of heroes, moving them across an overworld map and through towns and dungeons screen by screen. Your main goal is to follow the story of Heracles, battling monsters in turn-based fights where you choose attacks, magic, or items for each character. You explore labyrinthine dungeons, find keys to unlock doors, and gather better equipment to survive. The pacing is deliberate, with random encounters keeping you on your toes, and the difficulty can be steep in some dungeons. Playing it feels like piecing together an ancient, challenging journey.
